The Mountain View Fire Protection District is seeking a Human Resources Director (HRD). This new position will report to the Fire Chief and serve as a member of the leadership team. With recent rapid growth and more anticipated in the future, this position is essential to the district’s operations, sustainability, and development. The HRD will find a welcoming, engaged, and family like environment. The Human Resources Director will provide leadership to Mountain View Fire Rescue in developing and implementing human resources strategies to ensure alignment with the district’s overall mission and goals. As such, the HRD is responsible for strategic planning and managing human resources programs, functions, and activities. This includes developing and supervising the human resources team and providing professional human resources support, advice, and guidance to the Fire Chief, executive team, supervisors, and other employees on personnel issues. The ideal candidate must establish trusting and respectful relationships and have demonstrated experience managing and leading a breadth of human resources operations. With a proven track record of human resources strategy development and implementation, the ideal candidate will also have experience establishing HR as a partner in achieving organizational goals.
