City of San Jose has selected Albie Udom to assume the role of Deputy Director of Purchasing & Risk Management. Mr. Udom comes to the City previously serving as the Director of Procurement for San Franisco Unified School District. Mr. Udom has substantial experience leading procurement and risk management teams and developing tools and processes to improve efficiencies. He will begin in his role immediately.
East Bay Regional Park District has selected Kenneth Wysocki to assume the role of Assistant General Manager – Acquisition, Stewardship, and Development. Mr. Wysocki comes to the District previously serving as the Assistant Regional Director for the US Environmental Protection Agency. Mr. Wysocki has over 20 years of experience, including administration, operations, and stewardship of up to 1-million-acre landscape, managing multiple programs and projects. He will begin in his role on February 6.
The City of Oklahoma City has selected Christylla Miles to assume the role of Assistant Director of Development Services. Ms. Miles comes to the City previously serving as the Division Manager for Department of Neighborhoods Inspection and Public Service for the City of Houston, TX. Ms. Miles has more than 23 years of experience in local government. She will begin her role on February 3.
City of Simi Valley has selected Charles Shorts to assume the role of Chief of Police. Mr. Shorts was previously serving as the Assistant Police Chief for the City and has been with the City for 20 years. He will begin his role immediately.
City of Red Bluff has selected Scott Miller to assume the role of Public Works Director. Mr. Miller comes to the City having previously served as the Assistant Public Works Director and Airport Manager for Red Bluff. Mr. Miller's extensive private sector experience uniquely provides him with the perspective of achieving tangible and timely results and the empathy of what the developer experiences through the permitting process. He will begin his role on January 23.
The City of Baytown, TX has selected Jason Reynolds to assume the role of City Manager. Mr. Reynolds comes to the city having previously serving as the Assistant City Manager for Baytown, TX. Mr. Reynolds has 24 years of progressive experience across a broad range of operational functions and diverse government segments including Economic Development, Finance, HR, ITS, Library, Parks, Planning, and Public Works/Engineering. He will begin in his role immediately.
Santa Clara Valley Habitat Agency has selected Matthew Fogarty to assume the role of Senior Land Management and Monitoring Specialist. Mr. Fogarty comes to the Agency previously serving as the Lead Biologist and Arborist for Insignia Environmental Inc. He will begin in his role on January 16.
Sonoma County Library has selected Erika Thibault to assume the role of Library Director. Ms. Thibault was previously serving as the Interim Library Director with the County. Ms. Thibault has over 17 years of experience in public libraries, with 13 years in a supervisory, management, and administrative role. She will begin in her role immediately.
Imperial County Transportation Commission has selected David Aguirre to assume the role of Executive Director. Mr. Aguirre was previously serving as the Interim Executive Director/Transit and Administration Program Manager with the Agency. He will begin in his role on January 3.
